About the Artist
Caroline Almy Gerry is a working artist whose work
has been exhibited at shows in New York City and Locust Valley, New
York. She has designed, developed and marketed note cards, sold in six
major stores, with the proceeds going to The New York Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
She attended the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts
and has studied with John Christian in France, Alwyn Crawshaw and Robin
Child in England and Paul Wood and Walter Barker in New York. She has
also taught art at the Greenville (Mississippi) Community Center.
Mrs. Gerry has served as Co-Chairman of St. John’s
of Lattingtown Church Fair and has participated in Green Vale School
art events. In 1964, she received an Operation Democracy award.
