2017 Family Benefit: Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

On Sunday, June 4, 2017, The NYSPCC will hold its fifth annual Family Benefit, featuring the new Broadway musical, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. This classic and treasured Roald Dahl tale will show at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for a 1 PM matinee, and stars two-time Tony Award winner, Christian Borle (Something Rotten! Peter and the Starcatcher) as Willy Wonka! This show is sure to be golden, as it’s also directed by three-time Tony Award winning Director, Jack O’Brien (Hairspray, The Front Page).

All proceeds from this event benefit The NYSPCC child sexual abuse prevention program, Safe Touches.

Orchestra, front mezzanine, and rear mezzanine seating is available.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is recommended for ages 6 and older. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.

2017 Spring Luncheon Featuring Eric MacLeish

Join The NYSPCC during National Child Abuse Prevention Month for its Sixth Annual Spring Luncheon at The Pierre Hotel.

The event begins with a reception at 12:00 pm, followed by the program with Guest Speaker, Eric MacLeish, at 12:30 pm.

A renowned Boston attorney, Eric MacLeish, Of Counsel at Clark, Hunt, Ahern, & Embry, has handled some of the most significant sexual abuse cases in the country and is the attorney portrayed in the award-winning film, Spotlight. He will share his experiences in protecting children from sexual abuse in private schools and provide information on how schools and parents can better protect students.

With your support, vulnerable children will have the chance to heal and move forward to live happy, healthy lives.

PAST EVENT – Food & Wine Gala: Featuring Chef Michael Anthony

On Monday, November 14, 2016, The NYSPCC held its Food & Wine Gala at the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan.

The event featured a one-of a kind menu designed by Chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern and Untitled. The Food and Wine Gala was hosted by Kimberly Guilfoyle, Fox News Anchor and Analyst, Co-Host of The Five, and member of The NYSPCC’s Children’s Council. Adam Rapoport, Editor-in-chief of Bon Appétit joined as our guest speaker.

Proceeds from the Food & Wine Gala support The NYSPCC’s Trauma Recovery Program which offers a specialized therapeutic program for children, ages 5-18, who have experienced physical or sexual abuse, neglect, traumatic bereavement, or who have witnessed family violence.
